What kind of game is Verdant City?

Verdant City is a top-down 2D city-building and management game. Plan neighborhoods, balance your budget, connect utilities, and develop transport and public services as your city grows.

Can I play without an internet connection?

Yes. The game is offline and single-player, with no account required. Your cities are saved on your device, with local save slots and autosave. Save-file import and export are disabled on iOS.

How does CO₂ awareness work?

It estimates annual emissions from your developed city, its energy supply and travel needs, with a small allowance for tree absorption. The indicator compares emissions per resident. You can also explore optional climate policies with city-budget and electricity tradeoffs.

See what the CO₂ model includes.

Do I have to play with the CO₂ feature?

No. Turn CO₂ awareness off in Settings to hide its estimates and suspend its climate-policy costs and electricity adjustments. You can continue building your city.

Which devices is the game built for?

Verdant City is designed for iPhone and iPad in landscape, with iOS 16 or iPadOS 16 and later. Touch controls let you pan, pinch to zoom and preview a building before confirming.
